Wounds that are slow to heal or chronic can occur because of diabetes, lack of circulation or other health problems. Through intensive treatment and advanced care offered at Holy Family Medical Center healing can begin. A multi-disciplinary team works with the patient to deliver treatment.
Rehabilitation
Therapy can play a critical role in recovery. Physical, speech, and occupational therapy are offered to all patients pending a physician's order. Rehabilitation Services provides therapy at the bedside since each patient is in a private room. We also have a Rehab Activity Room and a full supply of assistive devices for walking and self-care training purposes. Constructive feedback is provided to the interdisciplinary team about the patient's progress, as well as recommendations regarding the patient's next level of care.
